Audrey frowned slightly, noting the numbers that came up on the radiation meter in front of her. "1800." She remarked, glancing around the room. It was totalled. It looked like a nuclear explosion decimated everything. There was a doctor sitting there, possibly before the explosion occured, and he was melted to the core.

No, too sloppy. She left the room, popping a small pill in her mouth that would neutralize any absorbed radiation and headed back to her car.

"Audrey." The blonde paused, glancing over to her partner, the one who spoke to her. "We believe we may have whoever did this in custody.."

"Where is he?" Audrey inquired. Her partner answered by saying he was in the hospital, with his girlfriend.

Audrey nodded. "I'll go check it out." She said, before she glanced around the area. Sudden annoyanced etched upon her face momentarily, before she pulled out her cellphone and dialed Matt's number.

Nathan was in his campaign headquarters, he was looking at poll results and even though he was doing better, he still wasn't happy. He shuffled through some papers and he seemed a bit uncomfortable. Eyes darted across the room as he got up and left the building. He looked toward the driver who seemed always at the ready. "I need to get some coffee," he said. The driver nodded and opened the door for him. Security followed close behind. One could never be too safe in this day and age. He also never knew what his brother was up to. He got out of the car at a local Starbuck's and wandered up to the counter.

Claire sat in the chair in the kitchen staring at the wall, that meeting with her bio-parents had been a complete flop. They hadn't told her anything interesting, at least in the sense of finding out if they had the same powers as her, and she wasn't too happy. Especially after her mom told her that she had some genetic defect, she assumed it was her powers, and they hadn't been able to find her bio-parents at that point.

She sighed as she reached for another cupcake, she needed an intervention to her sudden cupcake addiction and decided to grab the phone and call Zach. She dialed the numbers and listened to the ringing of the connection. She cradled the phone in her shoulders as she licked the frosting off her fingers. Fumbling slightly when he actually picked up the phone she smiled, "Hey Zach, it's Claire. I was wondering if you'd like to come over. I need to vent and you're the only person who would understand."

(Too excited to wait, obviously. I'm posting this because, even though it already happened, it'll give me practice with Hiro's mindset, and then any Tokyo OCs or Ando-kun or whoever else can jump in at the end. Edited for more accuracy.)

We are not special! We are Japanese!Collapse )

"A serial killer strikes in the heart of Los Angeles, abducts a little girl, and I'm a 100 feet away. I might as well be in Siberia."

That was how it started.

That had been followed by a pushy petite FBI agent arresting him, hauling him into the back of his own patrol car, and driving him to an undisclosed location.

They'd been at this two hours, and Janice? Janice was going to kill him.

But there was more to it. Matt wasn't entirely comfortable with there being more to it, but-

How did I find that kid?

He'd been asking himself that question tiredly in between biting his tongue and trying to proclaim his innocence. Two damn hours-

"...I don't know how else to explain it." Matt muttered, " I heard a little girl call for help. I saved her."
